Twenty- fifth session of the Federation of BiH Spatial Data Infrastructure was held in premises of the Federal Geodetic Administration on 17 November 2021. This was the first constituent session with the new council convocation, in accordance with the Government of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina decision from 3 November 2021.
Twenty-fourth session of the Federation of BiH Spatial Data council was held on 7 July 2021. Council members from competent institutions in accordance with the Government of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina decision attended the session.
Twenty-third session of the Federation of BiH Spatial Data council was held via electronic communication channels on 23 February 2021. Council members from competent institutions in accordance with the Government of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina decision attended the session.
The twenty-second session of the Council for Spatial Data Infrastructure of the Federation of BiH was held through electronic communication channels on December 14, 2020. years. Members of the Council of Competent Institutions participated in the session in accordance with the decision of the Government of the Federation of BiH.
The twenty-first session of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina Spatial Data Council was held via electronic communication channels on 30 November 2020.
The twentieth session of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina Spatial Data Council was held via electronic communication channels on 29 October 2020.
The State Geodetic Administration of the Republic of Croatia organized the conference “Day of SDI 2021” which was held on October 20, 2021 in Rovinj, Republic of Croatia. This year’s conference covered current topics in the field of spatial data infrastructure, and lectures divided into two sessions.
Virtual Knowledge exchange called „Using the Integrated Geospatial Information Framework“ will be held from October 4 to 29, 2021.
The online training is designed in 4 seminars organized by the World Bank and the United Nations Global Geospatial Information Management (UN-GGIM) initiative. They are related to the Integrated Geospatial Information Framework (IGIF).
The 14th INSPIRE Conference 2021 entitled “Towards a Common European Green Deal data space for environment and sustainability” will be held from 25 to 29 October 2021 as an online conference. The main topic of the INSPIRE conference 2021 is the adaptation and usability of the INSPIRE for the purpose of achieving the EU common data space with green open data and the European Green Deal.

WEBINAR ON CAPACITY BUILDING IN THE FIELD OF SPATIAL DATA INFRASTRUCTURE
As part of the projects implementing during 2021, the Federal Administration for Geodetic and Real Property Affairs has planned trainings related to capacity building in the field of spatial data infrastructure (SDI) and inclusion of as many entities and spatial data as possible in the SDI web applications in FBiH. Trainings are provided through the Dutch Spatial II project.
Education held on 19.05.2021. and 20.05.2021 covered the following topics:
- Introduction to the concept of SDI
- Presentation by the FGU of the current situation
- SDI implementation in the Netherlands
- Metadata standards for geographic information:
- Demonstration of the Dutch Metadata Catalog and PDOK
- Analysis of existing metadata implemented by FGU
- Metadata quality assurance and innovation.
All SDI subjects participated in the training, and the next training in the field of spatial data infrastructure is planned for 09.06.2021. and 10.06.2021. on the topic of data harmonization.
The Federal Administration for Geodetic and Real Property Affairs had three agenda items related to the Spatial Data Infrastructure of Federation of BiH on 249th regular session of the FBiH Government on 28 December 2020. The session’s members discussed the Proposal on the new convocation of the Spatial Data Infrastructure of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina Council, the Work report for 2020 and information on publication of the Spatial Data Infrastructure of FBiH web viewer. The viewer can currently view 12 available data sets whose structure is harmonized according to the INSPIRE directive requirements.
Director of the Federal Administration for Geodetic and Real Property Affairs Mr. Zeljko Obradovic and Assistant Director Mr. Denis Tabucic were held online meeting with new Secretary General and Executive Director of Eurogeographics Ms. Léa Bodossian.
INVITATION TO PARTICIPATE IN ACTIVITIES WITHIN THE SPATIAL DATA INFRASTRUCTURE OF THE FEDERATION OF BIH
With its conclusion from the 20th session, the FBiH SDI Council invites institutions of all levels of government in FBiH, which are in charge of spatial data prescribed by the Regulation, to harmonize their own data in order to make them an integral part of FBiH SDI. In that sense, and in accordance with the Regulation on SDI FBiH, it is necessary for institutions to harmonize and prepare data and metadata within their competence in accordance with INSPIRE standards.
THE DRAFT ON FBIH SPATIAL DATA INFRASTRUCTURE LAW ADOPTED ON THE REGULAR SESSION OF THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE FBIH PARLIAMENT
The draft on FBiH Spatial Data Infrastructure Law was unanimously adopted on the regular session of the House of Representatives of the FBiH Parliament session held on 27 April 2021. Director of the Federal Administration for Geodetic and Real Property Affairs Mr. Zeljko Obradovic presented draft Law and stressed the importance and benefits of adopting the Law.
The FBiH Government determined Law on Spatial Data Infrastructure on their regular 258 session held on 11 March 2021 and referred it to the FBiH Parliament. The Spatial Data Infrastructure is currently based on the Spatial Data Infrastructure Regulation from 2014, and new Law is based on the European Parliament and Council Directive from 14 March 2007.
A public discussion on Spatial Data Infrastructure of Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina Law was held in cooperation with the Federal Ministry for Spatial Planning in premises of the Federal Administration for Geodetic and Real Property Affairs on 17 November 2020.
