In metadata, you can find information about spatial data sets and services, compliance of spatial data with prescribed norms, conditions of access and use of spatial data sets and services, quality and up-to-dateness of spatial data sets. Metadata in the metadata catalog provide information about bodies, organizations, public enterprises or legal entities responsible for the establishment, maintenance, access, exchange and use of spatial data sets and services, and spatial data sets to which access is restricted and the reasons for restrictions.

The Metadata Catalog contains information about spatial data, sets and services of spatial data, terms of access and use, public authorities responsible for collecting and maintaining data, format, quality, coordinate system and many other information describing spatial data. The main goal of the catalog is to collect all metadata about spatial data in FBiH in one place, all with the aim of easier access and use of spatial data for all interested parties.
