Main Project Objectives:
The GIVE project aims to improve the accuracy and availability of land administration information in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina. It will contribute to the modernization of land administration through digitalization, harmonization, and standardization of data, ensuring higher-quality services for citizens and the business community.

DELEF Project
Project Name: Digital Enhancement of Land Management for the European Future of Bosnia and Herzegovina (DELEF)

Main Project Objectives:
The project purpose is overall capacity development of the project partners and thus a contribution to their transformation into modern, technologically developed, reliable and efficient public administration bodies. Administrations that collect information for which they are responsible ensure easy availability and transparency for all users in Bosnia and Herzegovina. To ensure capacity development and achieve sustainable change, the project will focus on efficient learning and tangible results.

GeoConnect Project
Project Name: GeoConnect – Connecting Geoinformatics Expertise for Responsible and Transparent Governance
Financier: Government of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, through the Matra G2G program
Project Value: €1.1 million
Project Duration: 2025 – 2029 (4 years)
Status: Ongoing
Main Project Objectives:
- Strengthening institutional capacities: Development of technical and administrative skills in spatial data management through specialized training, mentoring, and the “Train-the-Trainer” program.
- Harmonization and interoperability of data: Adoption and implementation of the EU INSPIRE standards to enhance spatial data exchange and quality.
- Raising awareness and community engagement: Organization of campaigns and educational events for the general public on the importance of spatial data in decision-making and sustainable development.
- Support for EU integration: Adapting domestic capacities to EU requirements through the development of policies, standards, and practices aligned with INSPIRE Directive guidelines.

Harmonization of Spatial Data of SDI FBiH with the INSPIRE Directive

The project aimed to define the necessary data models for the Spatial Data Infrastructure (SDI) of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina (FBiH) and to develop and implement ETL procedures for harmonizing spatial data sets with the INSPIRE Directive for selected federal-level institutions.

Provision of a Technological Platform for SDI FBiH

The project utilized existing hardware capacities to establish and configure a software-based technological platform for analyzing, preparing, harmonizing, visualizing, storing, and sharing spatial data, accompanied by training for relevant federal institutions.

Project Description and Objectives:
The primary objective of developing the Strategy and Action Plan was to define priority goals, projects, and activities that contribute to the enhancement and further development of the Spatial Data Infrastructure of FBiH and the fulfillment of INSPIRE Directive requirements.

Capacity Building and Training for SDI FBiH Stakeholders

Project Description and Objectives:
The project aimed to organize and conduct training for employees of SDI FBiH stakeholders, ensuring capacity building in the field of spatial data infrastructure. The training programs enabled participants to acquire fundamental and advanced professional competencies related to the use of spatial data dissemination tools.

SDI FBiH Validator
Year of Implementation: 2024

Project Description and Objectives:
The goal of configuring the SDI FBiH validator was to provide additional software tools for ensuring the quality, compliance, and interoperability of spatial data collected, processed, and shared within the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina. The availability of this tool allows for automated validation of spatial data, metadata, and services against INSPIRE Directive standards, local regulations, and best practices based on international standards.

Presentation and Promotion of SDI FBiH Impact and Importance
Year of Implementation: 2024

Project Description and Objectives:
The primary goal of this project was to enhance awareness, understanding, and usage of SDI among its stakeholders and the general public. Implementation was carried out through the creation of engaging and informative promotional and educational video materials that effectively communicate the benefits, functionalities, and significance of SDI for the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Development of a Licensing Framework Study for Spatial Data
Year of Implementation: 2024
Status: Completed
Project Description and Objectives:
The aim of the study is to explore the possibilities and prerequisites for establishing a comprehensive and transparent licensing framework for spatial data within SDI FBiH. By defining clear rules and conditions for data usage, the intention is to reduce legal uncertainty and facilitate data exchange, reuse, and sharing between institutions, organizations, and individuals in FBiH.

SDI FBiH Communication Plan

Project Description and Objectives:
The project aimed to enable the long-term implementation of promotional activities for the SDI at all levels in FBiH, ensuring its recognition and visibility among the general public. The Communication Plan defines the target audience, key messages, and the tools and methods to be used for effective communication.
